Outside Poem by Galina Italyanskaya

Outside

Rating: 5.0

The land of my past is ruined
Away to a foreign shore
I'm thrown, like a leaf,
Got through it.
Who knows,
What I'm searching for?

The same but the other moonlight,
The same but the other sun.
I'm tired to death.
I would like
To see
Where I have to run.

My home I wish to inquire,
That's where my heart belonged.
But now they are both on fire,
And I'm outside,
Alone.

Stunning write on the lot of the refugees... a very beautiful and soulful poem. The phrasing and images evoked are very very vivid.

Hi Galina, Very touching write. You have captured the heartbeats of the the displaced, the destitutes. Their sorrow, helplessness, nostalgia and loneliness you have expressed in so little, but very powerful words. Very Poignant. Such thoughts can come from only a very loving and caring heart. My home, That's where my heart belonged. But now they are both on fire, And I'm outside, Alone. A proud 100++
