When I published my book, my dream,
I offered a prayer to Him:
Pray ensure, it is received well,
Fine, it creates no mighty spell.
Forget it, my innocent child,
He said, refrain from dreaming wild.
You see, even I've been a failure,
No one likes my writing for sure.
I've been writing many a fate,
None, by no one is liked till date.
Once I wrote a mega poem—
A greatest religious emblem,
People read it and recite it,
But few follow even a bit.
My book's good enough just to quote,
See, no more since I ever wrote.

Through your writing this poem connecting to dream you have created a beautiful poem with humor. A fine couplet.
There is one more thing, dear poet KM. Bhagavad-Gita is an excellent poetry, apart from being brilliant philosophy of life. But all the translations and discourses have rather killed the poetry.
No luck, I never gave a single free copy to any one (my first book) , and for the second, the terms with the publisher was some free copies to me, which I distributed. VERY LUCKEEEEEEEEEEEE YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE APPPPPPPPPPP
Yes Sir, You are absolutely correct. Literature on relegion and its morals and ethics are largely discussed in the society but in experience it is learnt that only a few try to adopt it in life. " My book's good enough just to quote" ,
Thank you dear PNDN for appreciating this rather tongue-in-cheek poem. Your reading of the poem is absolutely right.
No, no, no, not planning to publish anything. A poet's 'I' is like an editor's 'you', called editorial you. Nothing personal.
I congratulate you for publishing your book and I feel happy. The book Dream is offered to Lord with prayer. My Lord is graceful. He comes in dream. He will definitely save all of us. My child Lord is very clever, the flute player! Hare Krishna....10++
No thank you, not planning to publish anything. It was long time back and not to be taken seriously. Thanks for your good wishes.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
