Oedipus Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Oedipus

In Oedipus Rex, the masterpiece by Sophocles upon which Aristotle based his aesthetic theory of drama in the Poetics and from which Freud derived the Oedipus complex.

Oedipus calls upon anyone who knows the murderer of his father Laius to step forward to reveal the truth. Tiresias claims to know but refuses to help when asked by Oedipus.
