Ode To The Moon Poem by Mohammad Muzzammil

Ode To The Moon

Oh, moon, how you wax and wane,
In the endless cycle of time,
A heavenly body that we can't contain,
You light up the world with your shine.

Your journey begins as a slender crescent,
A silver sliver in the sky,
A hint of the beauty that's to come,
As you begin to climb up high.

Then you grow and grow, night by night,
A half-moon smiling down,
You illuminate the darkness with your light,
The stars your loyal crown.

You continue to swell, round and bright,
A full moon in all its glory,
A beacon in the dark of night,
A luminary in the story.

But then you shrink, night by night,
A half-moon fading fast,
Your light grows dimmer in our sight,
As you approach the end at last.

Until at last you disappear,
A slender crescent once more,
A final glimpse, then you're not here,
Until your journey starts once more.

Oh moon, your phases bring such grace,
A sight that fills us with wonder,
A testament to the beauty of space,
That we'll cherish and ponder forever
