Ode To The Body's Significance Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Ode To The Body's Significance

Ode To The Body's Significance

Always into the days
I'm called,
mystified by numbers,

Signified by
sounds, sights
and signals

sun kissing
nights embracing,
calculations,

Whether you're
well or diseased,
only to measure
life's significance,

Your distress signals,
a poem to convey
feelings
all things
existing,
make love
for,
worship to,

immortality,
whispers,
to the sky,

Calling for another
Gods protection
Every deity beyond,
and hidden under the

Delay the inevitable,

You count steps,
adjust calories,
Calculatenumbers
in measurements,

your heartbeats,
allegianceto yourself,

the way your muscles,
moves,

the weakness,
functionalities,
your body is telling you,

He is your supreme counsel,
God chiseled
armor,
of your
body machine,

Sakes healing,
in time of calamities,

Intimate decider
whether you're alive,
spend your holidays
at the beach,

Spend in nights vigils,
because you're dying,

Waking up consciously to
this fragility
of life's temple,
pay your respects,
as a homage,
