O Time! Take Me Back in Your Flight!
Make me again a child; at least for a while.
When we were lively and carefree;
Nothing used to make us worry,
Peace of mind;
No concept of time,
Fond memories of blissful childhood days;
When life was simpler in so many ways,
Reminiscing fondly
a million happy tales;
Laughing all the while at every which way,
Ignorance was bliss;
When did we become like this?
What happened; I do not know;
Maybe it was ‘grown up' what they call,
From ‘crying loudly' to ‘weeping quietly', we are grown up! !
From ‘believing in fairy tales' to ‘accepting the reality', we're grown up! !
From ‘broken toys' to ‘broken hearts', we're grown up! !
But when the innocent childhood departs;
It takes something from our hearts,
Wonder, where has the child been lost,
Is the childhood only to be framed on the walls of the hall?
O time! take me back in your flight!
Make me again a child, at least for a while.
Let me start once again,
Let me laugh till I ache,
Let me giggle; let me play,
Let me dance; let me sway,
Let me hop; let me skip,
Let me jump; let me jig,
Let me bounce into a puddle,
Let me blow some more bubbles,
Let me sleep with a smile on my lips,
And with a mind full of dreams! !
O time! take me back in your flight!
Make me again a child; at least for a while!
