For October 2022, A Poem Showcase From Bri Edwards, To Share With You …..[ Includes Authors, Titles, Bri's Notes On Poems ]

Its comments as of Nov.15th:

a. Kim Barney20 September 2022Thanks for including the full text of your own poem, Bri, to make it easy for us. You should have had more kids of your own. You're just a kid at heart!

b. Bharati Nayak20 September 2022Another wonderful showcase from Bri Ewards! I have read at least four of the poems included in the Showcase and would like to read the others!

c. UNNIKRISHNAN Sivasankara Menon13 September 2022In case you'd like me to propose one of September 22 poems for the Show-Case, it is 'FLOWERS 01 - Fragrance'. If I have something better through the course of the month, I would revisit the offer. Thank You, Bri.

d. UNNIKRISHNAN Sivasankara Menon13 September 2022Part 2. So what am I to do? Shall I offer one of my poems (only those published in September 2022) for the shaw-case? Or, is it just that you'd pick-up those please you?

e. UNNIKRISHNAN Sivasankara Menon13 September 2022Hi, Good idea as usual. Your show-case, of course, is a coveted position for me as a poet. And it helps me catch up with good poems (may be because our tastes match) that I missed on my arduous tour on ph.

a. Kim Barney07 September 2022The Charge of the Light Brigade was one of my favorites when young. I had much of it memorized at one time.

c. Bharati Nayak29 August 2022Bri, you have done excellent job by providing short reviews of chosen poems and so readers will be naturally attracted to read the poems. You deserve five stars for the showcase or your favorite ice cream in its place.

d. Rose Marie Juan-austin08 September 2022Liked how you presented this showcase, Bri. You have provided us with a brief introduction of each poems on the list. It is indeed a great effort. Thank you.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I left a large number of hashtags. Ha, but none of them may show up. I gave up on having PH indicate to me that ANY were accepted, SO I just put stuff randomly picked from my brain. NO ONE is 'required' to read OR comment on my showcases, but it is, for this old guy, a lot of work [more than picking my nose], so I may suspend further showcase production. We can find what we look for on our own. That said, I DO APPRECIATE THE INTEREST SHOWN IN THE PAST BY READERS. This site used to be more Showcase-friendly. ;) bri

You say this site used to be more showcase-friendly. That may be true, but it also used to be more USER-friendly.

So true, SO TRUE. That's one reason, I believe, that I have fewer comments and from fewer commenters. I used to use my friends list to 'advertize/advertise' showcases. bri ;)

BUT, ...it seems the length of poem comments can now be longer than they'd been allowed to be after the decline of PH a couple years ago. Of course some might disagree with my use of 'decline' for that facelift here. bri

Re Sylvia's reply to Rose Marie below: Sylvia, whose 'CHOICE' do you suggest I have? I don't choose yours for a reason (or two) and that is my choice. Try making youir own showcase. : ) bri

In sum, it is my humble opinion, that your showcase, in one way or another, helped Poets connected and also brought to our attention some of the good poems that must be read. Thank you, Bri, for all your efforts.

DEAR ROSE MARIE, BRI HAS HIS OWN CHOICE, AS USUAL, there are many many better poems than the he is referring too, but he only reads no best poems, so sorry to be utmost honest

Sometimes I passed some of the showcases because of time constraints. Thanks for the notifications , sometimes it helped in tracking the new poems posted. I agree with Kim Barney's comments and your observation.

To put a showcase requires valuable time and efforts. The endeavor might be taken for granted by others but there will always be some Poets who in one way or another find their time to read some of the poems included in the show case.
