Nine To Five Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Nine To Five

Nine to five

It is five
Work over; they are out
Camel and cotton seeds; some chew gums
Back from grazing with shepherd
They have seen the bad wolf, wearisome
In need of safe place in a house, in konam
To relax, ruminate, chew the past and eaten.

Welcome to daily life in cities and the towns.

Imagine being home when she comes
Hair flies, face wrinkled and frowned; she cries.
“Hey honey” you tell her; dead tired, she is out.
How can she be a wife with hair combed and made-up?
Open arms?
