Nature Or Nurture Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

Nature Or Nurture

Rating: 4.5

Nature or nurture the causality link between the spirit of who we are and the multiple masks we show the world outside

Society's control the perception ruler with its monsters carved from cruelty's ice

Mean people pushing and crushing the weakest minds, turning hearts black

Normality no longer reality surviving this bad hand in life remoulded born again in conformity's womb

The bigoted rejection call as they call me crazy even a little Insane how dare they the hypocrisy creators of my soul

Spiralling out of control the decency and innocents being sucked from a once loving caring being

Laughing gargoyle staring back at me through a mirror, ugliness where once stared beauty

Body like clay, pressed by the fingers of circumstance, defenceless, vulnerable, each curve a wound, standing on a plinth of nails catastrophes statue.

Screaming, fighting, but no one looks, no one cares blinded by stupidity, it doesn't have to be like this, just wake up let me be free.
