My Lips Are Sealed Poem by Suzon Albert

My Lips Are Sealed

Rating: 5.0

My lips are sealed, I cannot speak
for the enemy has made me weak
entered through my eyes, reached my heart
and now rules my brain, tearing me apart
I try to resist, but it's no use
the enemy's power is just too obtuse!

Suzon, You liked my June showcase and asked where I come up with the poems I use in it each month. Thanks for looking at my June 23 showcase. You can look for others; August' is ready. (cont.)

'Obtuse' makes a great rhyme. I looked up its definition, however, AND do NOT think 'obtuse' is used properly here. (cont.)

(cont.) 'To find/'come across' these poems I look in various places: Notifications, New Poets, New Poems, poems of members I know and appreciate as people and/or poets. Sometimes I look at PH poems by topic. Not all my methods come up with poems I like. : ) '
