My Heart Say's Yes Poem by Larry Perry Sr

My Heart Say's Yes

I've been running for so long going from girl to girl, what in the world is going on in my mind

Never finding the time to settle down, everytime I hit I have a girl waiting for me

My body is there but my is somewhere else even in our kisses isn't the same that used to drive me insane

It's all getting old because for me it was all a game I played, with each and every girl, each and every time in every town I hit

I hit it and split it as quick as I came I wait without a moment's notice, with a blink of eye I'm out of sight

Each and every time I hit town, each girl tries to hold on to me and hold me down, but my heart and mind isn't in it

Everyman has a house to go back to in his own time to call his own in his town

But what is a house when you're all alone at night, realizing the only thing to make it right is you

It's you that my heart says yes to, it's you the one who never tried to hold me down even when you knew that I played around in every town

But you was always here waiting each and everytime waiting for me to hit back in town as if I never was gone

My Heart Say's Yes to you and only you for now and no more other girls in the other towns

I know now I'm ready to settle down to make my house a home, you will never have to worry about me roaming around stepping on anyone else's ground

My Heart Say's Yes and my mind needs no second-guessing for what is right for me to see what I had all along right here in my own home town

I see, I feel my heart says yes to to the girl who out last the rest, so for that my Heart Say's Yes to the best girl for my in the world
