My Foolish Dream Poem by Matthew Holloway

My Foolish Dream

Rating: 5.0

As I pen another verse
of a story once imagined
some highly played out romance
a hero called and sought
a beauty who captivates all
such passion set free, realised
to know of such a kiss
to know of a look within the eye
to know of such a love
that Juliette would cry
in pangs of jealousy
how dare I craft such a story
a verse to become
is the a happy ending
or will be only ever be
my foolish dream
