Mother Poem by Elena Plotkin

Mother

Rating: 5.0

You never made it easy.
But then you never took it easy.
You worked tirelessly your whole life.
Both as a mother and as a wife.
You never gave up or gave in.
You always fought hard for what you believed in.
And you believed in me when I didn't believe in myself.
And you do everything with love and you are selfless.
At times, it seems like there's nothing you can't do.
You are like a whole army but really it's just you.
And you do it all; not for money, glory, or fame.
Not for trophies, medals, or statues in your name.
And even after everything is said and done,
You are still busy being everything for everyone,
But you are no unsung hero; you are a goddess!
And you're not just beautiful; your beauty is ageless!
And you are not just loved and appreciated,
You are adored, worshiped, and celebrated!
