Morrighan's Wake Poem by Stephen Harris

Morrighan's Wake

Rating: 5.0

The nights full moon calls Morrighan wake
And spirit soar with wild wolfs howl
That echoes through vale and dale to star.
Let her stir before Cerridwens wane
To brave the night of cockerel fowl
And know how great her values are

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I doubt I'll get a single like for this lol, its also the first poem I must probably explain. Its full of mythology of the British and its Isles. I wanted to exalt the woman in essence *happy* Morrighan was really a lady of myth to be feared, I wanted to portray the lady as one to be respected by others. Cerridwen was the old Celtic Goddess of the moon who instilled knowledge and the owl was known as the 'night cockerel' and wasn't a positive sighting. I used fowl as in awful lol. I hope this makes sense and I apologise for a complicated poem.
