Morning On The Seashore Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Morning On The Seashore

Rating: 5.0

The Sun lifted its head
From the ocean
Its rays shimmering
Over the blue water

The breeze soft and cool
Raising gentle waves
Little fishing boats
Dancing to their rhythm

Fishing nets spread out
On the soft sand
Fishermen sitting in groups
Their day soon to begin

Sea shells scattered around
White, spotted, beautiful
Remnants of sea life
That once contained little souls

Birds circling above, chirping
Searching for food
Little crabs darting
From hole to hole in the sand

All life began
From the ocean
It may well end there
With another great flood
