More Words Poem by Richard Provencher

More Words

More Words

I do not speak
just to have words
tumble
from my lips

like the Falls of Niagara
splash and foam
as tourists duck mist
from the deck
of a sight-seeing boat.

And more words
remind me of this land
of Canada -its
coniferous forests
mines that spawned wealth
and
prairie grain that fed
so many.

Best of all words continue
to repeat over
and over—
I love you so much
my lady.
