Modern Romeo And Juliet Poem by Amy Stuart

Modern Romeo And Juliet

Watch, as the glistening water
Pour on his pale skin
Quickly drenching him as far as
His clothes swayed in the breeze

Watch, his unmoving body
Just the sound of your racing heart
Your silent breathing
Flowing with the sound of gentle raindrops

Watch, as his breath taking image,
Slowly getting closer to you with each step you take
Finally, your but an inch away
Behind the linguering scent of water
The scent of innocence and roses overpowers

Watch, as he turns to you
As he slowly leans in
The world around you stops
Only movement is the crashing of both lips

Watch, his face
Slowly he closes his eyes
Then yours follows after
What felt like centuries were mere minutes

Watch, the two live happily ever after...
