Missing You Father Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Missing You Father

Rating: 5.0

Each year takes him
A little further away
A little deeper into the past

Each year makes
The memories more poignant
The aching more painful

It must be so with everyone
This deep bond of affection
The complete dependence on someone

The utter changes in the world
With the passing of someone
This sudden growing up

From a child to an adult
From innocence to wisdom
No matter at what age the loss occurs

God bless the kindred spirit
Keep him under protection
Always happy and at peace
