'Missing Hand'
How well does today's grip pull you up the staircase of tomorrow?
Do you lay holding into later hours, that same hand you borrow?
We fill the gap with musical flirts, ones who us today accept
Fill our best hours with a trusted hand who later may neglect
The truth is, we all arrived here lonely, far away from home
Gap between who we held, who we'll hold when those seasons gone
Between flirting and romance is a maized timed passage
Longing for acceptance, merely part of the message?
And if you're really really lucky you'll hold onto where you stand
Satisfaction paints a staircase at the end, holding the same hand
