Mirror Speaks Poem by Chima Ononogbu

Mirror Speaks

Rating: 5.0

Turn not
Your back
On the mirror
Before turning to another.
For when you do,
The tiny spots
On the face
Of another
Shall be to you, as mounds
Of dirt.
But when you turn first
To the mirror,
It shall speak to you,
Show you many tiny spots
Hidden under your nose.
So when next you look
At the face of another,
You'll see your face.
Because in every face
Are many tiny spots.

This is really beautiful words. So well woven and the concept of seeing one's own speck before finding faults of others is good.

A very perceptive poem. Thought provoking lines to ponder about.
