you have helped our generations reap golden harvests
today how can anyone deprive us of your kindness?

you have bestowed upon us your consistent waterflow
you have provided us with irrigation and navigation;
you have kept our rivers so full of marine life
today how can anyone let our riverbeds dry up?

you are the source and origin of our fresh water supply
you have kept our mountains and forests so overfull;
you have been the river flowing without hindrances
today how can anyone separate us from your grace?

you have been the river that has been our perennial support
you have been the source of dedication and our legacy,
you have been our mother-river nourishing and nurturing us
today how can anyone separate you from your children?
