Memory Poem by Sasanka Sekhar Panda

Memory

In the chilly dark night
when silence condensed in all air
I saw you standing in a white robe
and I hearb the earth weeping.

When I opened my eyes,
you were not present beside me
only everywhere scattered
the sands of memories
and the cruel darkness.

At that moment
I felt the earth
revolving round me.

Now
in God's name I swear
I can't answer
if somebody asks
' What has happened? '
bacause
I have lost my eyes,
my tongue, my brain
and my heart.

In God's name I swear
I will conceal my troubles
as I love you'my love, I still love you.
