Me Holding Faith Here Poem by DASHARATH NAIK

Me Holding Faith Here

Rating: 5.0

I didn't ever mind your elbowing me
And rushing ahead as opportunity came
For luxury stately and prospect better

Finally betraying my trust breaking heart as Jezebel
Leaving me behind pale in utter isolation awfully
With none to share with or stand by in critical juncture

Though in mind many times, didn't commit suicide
For your sake, my LIFE; trusting my eternal love
Living in cherished peace hopefully as a dreamer

Someday sometime you 'll return disheartened
As a bird in chain, as a soul in destitute
In quest of freedom and a broad shoulder.

When overburdened with plight,
betrayed by flesh trader
My doors always left open for your support and solace
The memory 'll revive magically your grace, dignity and vigour.

How I can convince how I live minus you
How much I love you though broken hearted
Looking forward to your retreat, the sooner the better.

The cement bench in the corner of the park
The gulmohor behind the college gym
The pebbled river bank, the shadowy grove missing you
Still they flash daily in fond gesture.

When the sun is about to set, my sun
of trust rises radiantly
Get enthralled reading the names
engraved on concrete and tree runks
And get recharged to live alone,
my nothingness disappoints never.

My love can't betray me for trust I have aplenty
If not today, tomorrow, my LOVE 'll return to its harbour
In palanquin with catchy canopy
With fresh melody of love to entice and enliven me brighter.
