This evening
Full of lovers and people
And the rose-faced children rush around
On the beach of Bayraklı all of a sudden
I found myself..

I overheard behind me
A group arguing enthusiastically
Woman to man's chat
But with faith
Harbi conversations..

The lights that surround the shore
Reflection in the sea
The brightness of the moon in the night
It added a pleasant harmony to my eyes.

The magnificent crowd in Karşıyaka
That modern civilization
Clock tower
Mansion
Foça
I have visited them all
I've always traveled
Alone
All alone..

At the top of the cable car
The pleasure of that unique Izmir view
Crazy dance of the modern
I saw them
I watched one by one
Alone...

But my mind is still on your flag beach
What happened that night?
Of those sweet things that filled me up
Through those landscapes
Clinging to my mind
What was that unpleasant uneasiness?

From all collars
Of all the flags
From sincere or real beliefs
Of my escape
And your nightmares
My burning is now empty
That I know you're sticking
Did I sense the smell of your deep emptiness
That night?

I do not know...
My environment is extremely modern
Extremely scenic
And smiling and sincere faces
When full
That suddenly appeared inside me
That indescribable grief
That bottomless emptiness
Oh god..!

I could not find my taste
I could not laugh today
You are no longer a tenant or a guest
You own my physique and soul
My slave from head to toe is now
Ayy bitter
Ayy grief..!

Don't expect happy words from me
I am your happy words
I've already lost its alphabet...
