Make Believe Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Make Believe

There has to be no comparison
Without solid reasons
The poet has different role
To present truth with imaginative call

Prophets come on earth
With directives to control death
Live as per His words
And propagate on behalf of lord

What does poet do?
Even though untrue
Presentation is totally imaginative
Selective but not subjective

What have we to do with moon light?
Why do poets glorify to delight?
The lovers have their own land
Prophets show the real end

Never is mission same
No one can claim
Parity can be for noble work
Not for cleverly putting words

It is not make believe
But in pain and disorder you live
You need some kind of advice
open and straight road with promises
