Madness Poem by Arno Le Roux

Madness

'Madness'

Born screaming amid medicine man's golf-time and banking
To rushing ceasars' blade, welcome, enjoy, life's gone while blinking
Be classed and labelled, weighed and inked, no choosing
Wild things to taste, to fall, to cry, love and hugging

Freed only at expiry date decided by the man on the note
By then with waxy eyes you'll stare at life remote
The days of stolen youth when you defended the man on the note
Reaper stands waiting, freeing the tired, a final promote
