Luminous Moon Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Luminous Moon

Luminous Moon

In the velvet sky so bright,
Lies the moon, a beacon of silvery light.
A guardian of night, in celestial bloom,
Casting shadows, in the quiet gloom.

It waxes and wanes, a cycle so old,
A story in the heavens silently told.
With each phase, it brings, a change to the tide,
A dance with the ocean, a cosmic stride.

In the hush of night, when stars twinkle near,
The moon whispers secrets for those who will hear.
A muse for the poets, a light for the lost,
A sliver of hope, whatever the cost.

So here's to the moon, in the sky so vast,
A symbol of the present, future, and past.
May its glow guide your way, through dark and through doom,
The ever-watchful eye, the luminous moon.
