Even though I won't ever hear your
voice again. I'll hear it when the willows
sing. And when the whippoorwills call.
And when the breeze blows through the
grass so tall. And when the flowers nod
their heads and all. And when the moon
light shines and I feel so small. For a
moment life will stop and stall. While
memories flash and my heart reaches out
to grasp, ever so gently clasp. Even when
my mind is slipping passed, the heart will
always recall.
this was a real joy to read though you made me miss my mum Bravo!
Though the poem is actually a song addressed to a departed soul (I presume) , it's imagery and ornamental make up close to the nature pleases the reader. A delightful experience. Thank You Becca, for sharing.
Outstanding imagery. And great sentiment. And what a final line! ! ! I feel your pain, Rebecca.
No matter what but to miss a dear one is very painful. A poem with true feelings.5***
