If I could write a love song
To tell you how I feel
Hold you in my arms my dear, to
Show my love is real
If I could write a love song
Like other people do
I'd gather up my words of love, and
Sing my song for you

I'd say how much I love you
Mend a broken heart, tell you
Not to worry, that we would never part

I'd kiss away each lonely tear, right
each and every wrong
Then gather up my words of love, and
put them in your song
