Love Maybe Poem by Anonymous Anonymous

Love Maybe

Rating: 5.0

Oh silent day, here cometh the dreary night.
Where is my beloved; so far from my sight.
Along this path of shadows lies my soul.
My heart and mind have been swallowed whole.
I go in search of peace and findeth none.
The sight of my love escapes towards the sun.
Eyes blinded by the light I toss and I turn.
I try to recover from this insatiable burn.
Desire seeps in and begins to take affect.
Her sight like poison, it will slowly infect.
I gasp for air from this gruesome pain.
Her beauty is my disease, I'm sick and vain.
I try to fight this deep longing inside.
No words to say, continuing to soak in my pride.
I give in to the drug that stands in front of me.
Locking the lust inside and throw her the key.
Trapped in this cage of dark aspiration.
Only one path ahead, must be my destination.
Do I surrender to this urge once more?
Or do I tell her she's the one I adore?
What do I do? What will she think?
Will she deny me? Will our thoughts sync?
I know what I must do, it's now or never.
To tell her how I feel and maybe... together... forever.
