Love Is What It Is



a burning in the core
a throb and a smile
the feeling remains as before
defying all winds and rain

awareness of that within
a sweetness in the mouth
wholly engrossed in the feel
eyes alight, limbs engaged

fueling my fulfillment
connecting me to my core
aware of myself, of being alive
from my heart and sometimes more.
