Love Is Love Poem by Anashree Nash

Love Is Love

Love seems to be;
Fading further away,
As each day turns to night.

Who can blame a bleeding heart;
For not keeping,
Loves flame alight.

Love has a way;
To make you soar,
Higher than the eagles.

And it also has a way;
To make you feel like you,
Were 6 feet beneath the earth.

But Love is love;
It's pureness and gentleness,
Is what gives it its grace.

It is you and I that attach to it;
Dishonesty, betrayal and hurtful acts,
All of which isn't love.

So why the fuss;
Why turn your back,
And give up on love? ? ?

Love is love;
Its pureness and gentleness,
Is what gives it its grace.

Love holds no price tag;
But its the most priceless,
Gift to have.

It is the only aspect of life;
That's adds colour,
To a world that's black and white.

It's what makes;
The little things,
Matter the most.

Forget the past and the pain,
Some are not worth fighting for,
Whilst some are worth the fight.

Its up to you and I;
To keep the flame,
Of love alight.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Love seems to be fading away, but its the only thing in life that adds colour to a world that's black and white. So instead of being materialistic and quitting on love because we were once hurt, its time we focus on the people that are worth the effort and the little things that matter in life.

'Its up to you and I; To keep the flame, Of love alight.' - Beautiful! Loved the poem. The Poet's Notes seemingly emanate from an appropriate understanding of life.
