Love Gone Bad Poem by Rachel Hughes

Love Gone Bad

One night she came to town.

She had an angel's face.

She looked like heaven's grace.

She turned every head around.

It wasn't long, she caught my man's eye.

He gave into her spell.

But the fool couldn't tell.

She was the devil in disguise.

Chorus

I don't want him back, the love's gone bad.

He should have held on to what we had.

For a night with darkness, he burned our every bridge, road and path.

And made our good love turn to love gone bad.

V2

He swore he found his destiny.

But he was just a prize to claim.

A pawn in her game.

And when she left town, it was plain to see.

She just likes to break the bond.

Between a woman and a man.

And now he finally understands.

But it's too late, I'm long gone.

repeat Chorus

I don't want him back, the love's gone bad.

He should have held on to what we had.

For a night with darkness, he burned our every bridge, road and path.

And made our good love turn to love gone bad.

Bridge

Yeah, she was an angel, but not of the light.

She turned our love into dust in just one night.

Our happy ending ended up sad.

And our true love turned to love gone bad.

Repeat chorus
