Lonely Silence Poem by DANIEL Wallett

Lonely Silence

Rating: 5.0

Alone in this empty house
Nothing but me and my thoughts
No sound, not even from a mouse
These worn out socks
These torn up shoes
Time ticks by on these broken clocks
Poverty and war on the news
I watch as the world crumbles
As people fight
As the old man stumbles
Where's the light?
Isn't it time for a change?
A step towards something new
Alone in this world
Feeling as if I'm trapped in a cage
People I'd fight for, only few.
Sitting alone in this house full of nothingness
Just me and my thoughts

Every where is now a war of words. We used to want peoples opinions now the world is exploding due to lack of respect for others. May sense be made and we start listening to others.
