Lonely Girl Poem by Cowboy Ron Williams

Lonely Girl

Rating: 5.0

Hey, there, lonely girl,
lonely and cold
there in that frozen country
much closer than I
to the Arctic Circle.

Do you want some company?
I would like to come to you
and take away your loneliness.
Bid me come to you.

If two lonely people
come together,
does their loneliness double?
Nay, not so.

Let me come to you
and hold your hand
in front of a roaring fire
and we will talk,
not of the past,
but of the future.

It matters not
if you have loved and lost
or have never loved at all.

What matters is that we find out
if we could have a future together.
Bid me come to you.

I long to hold you tight in my arms
and erase all your loneliness
and tell you that everything
will be all right.

Bid me come to you
and cover your face with kisses
and never let you go.
Bid me come.

I think i have read a lot of ranch and family stories you shared. This is a unique blissful poetry from you. Very well composed and presented. Every reading spirit will find a lingering norch in one or other expression of empathy and unconditional positive regards.
