London Poem by Antony Glaser

London

Into the lead spin
broken bottles and knives conquer
looted by electric sparks
that bring you back to life
victimless crimes
over the once warren where rabbits roamed
we go shoplifting in London so fare
The Police turn a blind eye
Its maud, parlez vous Francais
Into the dark where English is not heard
London spins
the serpents of the Thames appear
Who needs excuses
into the grim lay lands
where the suburbs are sullied
by dent of ULEZ
