Little Girl Could Never Be Her Daddy's Pearl Poem by Sharon Swathi Gaddala

Little Girl Could Never Be Her Daddy's Pearl

Rating: 5.0

Wonder why a little girl, could never be her daddy's pearl,
She wanted love and care, which to her was never fair,
Girl child born was a curse, why was she without nurse,

I thought every child born was a gift from Almighty, why was this child taken so lightly?
She didn't ask for something more, wasn't it her birth right to score,

She was pushed from everything she deserved, love not at all served...
She was incapacitated and depressed, hoping sun next day, would be blessed,

She grew up to be this strong woman, she can today fight a mighty Damon,
Learned to battle alone with only God by her side, nothing to hide, nothing to chide,

She looks back at her life, not in strife,
She holds pride when she thinks of her dad, she did everything possible to keep him glad,

But...She still wishes...

She was a bit more loved, a bit more cared, a bit of everything a dad would have fared, for the years gone by, will ask why, everything was so high dry,

a little girl will never be her daddy's pearl..
