Linkage Poem by Samuel Francis Leumas

Linkage

[to her and Ejiro]

I see you through the hall way
Between my eyes and brain,
Your gaze like continuous rain
won't permit me a glance into the heaven of your heart...
I blink a blank perturbia
As our eyes jammed
Creating an electrifying connection.

But the green light is wasted
Like cars that cockroached slowly in approach
Missing the traffic light that signalled movement.

You're a stockpiles of smiles
the echo of love's frequency;
But quietude hooked my mind in silent pool,
While I'm cold at heart like a German soldier in russia's winter.

Empty excitement...!

Flamboyant streetlights flash sparks of affection
And the bowl of love is opened
On the central table of grooves.

But
Goodbye kisses
shouldn't come in form of peck,
For no smoked smile brings sweet sadness
