Life Portrait Stripped Away Deeds Paints

Rating: 5.0

upon what landscape will
we live our slip given lives?
upon what frame canvas will
our personalities be hung?

what scenes will we lifetime
act animated active young?
what final banners accolades
if any to us will be sunset sung?

canvas constant background colours
cast years pass rapid acid changing?
from youth till dust death features
defined blur into a face strangers?

each person's features event time
altered by actions across a lifetime?
face body canvas stretches collides
as brush stokes pattern mark years?

who can strip away acid effects
of well worn weathered years?
remove excesses joys pains tears
triumphs time disappointments?

torments of charcoal oil watercolours
etch handspun accumulative years?
who this graphic image transcribes
portrait of Dorian Grey vice paints?

what eyes beyond face never meet gaze
slide steal away in guilt laden seconds?
what eyes are steady unwavering depths
challenge penetrating searching looks?

eyes windows into soul reveal enlightened beauty
or craven beast beneath mixtures of clay mortality?
riches gems shining gold hoarded is not true beauty
eyes kindness radiant seal passage years in humility?
