Life Disasters Poem by Kinyua Karanja

Life Disasters

When honey turn salt and sour
No money to spice things up
Some find whiskey as the key
But all admit not for that long
In fact I can say it's very wrong.
Breaking laws turns out to be easy
You drunk and attempt to drive home
Over speeding all the way downtown
Corps run after you and your car
They also find several rolls of weed
As you appear for reckless driving
Not mentioning drug use charges
Your only better half wants divorce
Officially and file restraining order
She claims you verbally assaulted her
Court grant her custody of the kids
The lovely doves in your unhappy life
Angels who gave your life a meaning
A week now you haven't gone to work
Your rival boss fires you on the spot
It's around the corner of the month
Landlord say you must pay or vacate
Now you realize how messy life can be
Make this an item of prayer everyday
God, keep me safe from life disasters.
