Liar Poem by Concetta Salter

Liar

Hollow eye’s of pure deceit.
I can’t believe you lied to me.
One day you’ll see that you were wrong.
But by that time I will be gone.
I don’t have time to wait for you.
Cause I have better things to do.
I wonder if you had a heart.
Cause if you did, it fell apart.
You act as though it’s not your fault.
But you’re the one who didn’t call.
But I won’t wait for that one ring.
Cause there is more that life can bring.
One day you’ll know the pain I felt.
But do not come to me for help.
I have a life that’s liar free.
And trust me that is fine by me.
A life that don’t consist of you,
And all the stupid things you’d do.
I know you talked behind my back.
Your honesty was just an act.
So here it is, my last farewell.
I wish you nothing more than hell.

I liked this. The message is powerful and the rhyming is subtle and clever. They are almost half rhymes, but they work very well. A very nice read. Thanks for sharing.
