You poisoned our faith
brute friends!
you exploited our ignorance,
it is our fault that we believed you.

You sold us,
our children and our women,
now it is our turn
but we can't do so
because we have tasted
the fruit of
eternal love and compassion.

Our people died of starvation
our people died of bullet wounds
on the grass
stretching their arms
towards a new world,
now it is our turn
but we won't avenge
in retaliation
resecting the magnanimity
of those freedom fighters
who brought freedom
by dying in silence
for the sake of humanity.
