Let me be full of good spirits,
While living my life here on earth;
Let me fill the passing minutes
With wide smile, happiness, and mirth.

Let me be conducive to cheer,
Promoting the glad emotion;
Let the dreariness disappear
From my own facial expression.

Allow me to be ungrudging,
Yes, sans envy or reluctance;
I will never be unwilling,
Keeping myself from hesitance.

I like to dispel the worry,
Denying the shadow of gloom;
I want to bring despondency
To an oblivious space or room.

The joviality of my heart
Produces more health benefits;
Let my mind's depression depart,
Let me be full of good spirits.
