Last night

My denial to your whims
Ignited the brutality
Of your underhandedness

And the scars on my body
Mirrors the entire story.

Very sad, lack of understanding and restricted communication is the source of such things, though whims are whims..Nice poem 10 Stars

Often things go misunderstood without communication in a relationship. Both suffering but no one understanding. And the scars on my body Mirrors the entire story.... A story is best understood when author expressed rest all are speculations all present.

Even if the body bears the brutality, flowers of poetry keep blooming in mind- what a beauty! Full marks,5/5!

The entire poem expresses brutality of men upon women mainly due to sheer lack of mutual understanding.Really a shocking event.superb

Very poignant issue of domestic violence and male chauvinism, discussion of which is taboo in our culture, is depicted with profound sincerity and touching openness in the poem. Something only Aarzoo can do. Great poem.

Your poem brings the reader face to face with a situation that undermines the status of women in the society, erodes traditional familial values and promotes or legitimizes domestic violence and cruelty against women. A small poem that spurs in-depth interpretation. Thanks.
