Land Winter Prison Released: Ripens In Summer Golden Grains Poem by Terence George Craddock

Land Winter Prison Released: Ripens In Summer Golden Grains

Rating: 5.0

woe was the land
when prison bound
in winter chill bars
of ice cold colours

snow

when winter ceases
summer land may yield
to warm wind caress
pleasures of hot sun

ripe

may grow fields
of wheat and barley
soon lush meadows
may windswept dance

as crops

sway to melodies
of ripening maturity
rich greens of early
summer ripen as

golden grains
