Land Of Milk And Honey Poem by Dorsey Baker

Land Of Milk And Honey

The clouds don't seem
so dark now
I can see
the sun peeping through
I've come out
of the jungle where
the wild things were
a place too dangerous
for a human being to stay
with determination
and motivation
I made the move
and I
crossed over
the river of darkness
and despair
the earth
feels good under my feet
I'm in a brand new
place
but it feels just like home
I think
I'm living in paradise
because it feels
so much
better than
where I come from
I know I made the right move
when I decided
to cross over!
