Karma As Offerings To God Poem by Arun Maji

Karma As Offerings To God

Rating: 5.0

if you want to reach somewhere
you have to walk.
mere thinking of destination is not enough.

even an entity dull as river
has to course through
mountain, tableland and desert
(to reach to sea) .

her journey is painful!
isn't it?
journey will always be painful.

but journey is not as painful as
decaying and putrefying
while thinking and thinking
but not doing anything.

pain of doing something is agonising.
but pain of failure to do something
is the worst, 'coz it's humiliating!

tell me,
is there any pain anywhere
that is as grave as humiliation
as perpetual as humiliation?

you may wear skin of a human,
but you are never a human
until you win over self humiliation.
