Kalbaisakhi... Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Kalbaisakhi...

Come, come,
Come you, Kalbaisakhi,
Kalbaisakhi
To lessen heat and humidity
With your gales, thunderstorms,
Dark clouds gathering around
To lessen severe intense heat
Released during the dry spell of summer
So sizzling, perspiring and scorching
That it becomes tedious to bear
The loo and the thirst quenchless,
O you Nor'wester
Showing you the trailers of Vaisakh,
Chaitra and Jyestha
On the screen of the heaven,
Skies showing the black dreams
With loud thunders, blackening, storms
But with a drastic change in scenario too
With a dip in heat
And you passing with thunders laughing
And chilling the atmosphere!
