Just The Thrill Of Fear Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

Just The Thrill Of Fear

Atop white frosted mountains of the unknown
Luminous in the morning sunlight
With breezes of hope wheezing through the heights
As long shadows of fear n' despair ghost over the valley
Keeping the phantom of night longer
The mind of the fearful ploughs through a great hall of dark clouds
Beyond which the sun still smiles warmly, only if they knew

In the vastness of the open skies, everything's just but minuscule
Better, keep tight in your harnesses
And enjoy the thrill of the roller coaster this life gives
The sky may look forlorn n' empty
Nevertheless, so much's swallowed up in its vastness
Take it easy on yourself; you're not all alone in this
You just need a cast iron stomach to pull through.
