Just One Perfect Poem Can Change The World! Poem by Denis Martindale

Just One Perfect Poem Can Change The World!

A beautiful young lady looked at herself in the mirror, and she appreciated that she looked so beautiful, yet that was not something that she had to work hard at. She washed and dried her face ever so gently to help maintain the condition of her beautiful skin. She was more careful concerning her eyes. She got her beauty sleep and received all its benefits accordingly. Her hair was like a cascading waterfall. She nurtured it as if it were a fragrant flower in her garden. The clothes she bought for herself were a mixture of high fashion and casual for when she returned home again.

She was, in effect, a beauty deserving of her portion of praise. Even so, not even one young gentleman had ever courted her or sent her a Saint Valentine's card or a heartfelt poem as a declaration of love. So one day, she sat down at her desk and used her computer to write herself that wonderful poem, as if some filmstar celebrity had seen her and fallen head over heels in love with her!

A DECLARATION OF LOVE!

I am a famous filmstar who saw you yesterday,
And so I wondered if you are the one for whom I pray.
Was it your hair that shone so fair? Was it your winning smile?
All I could do was stand and stare, then stay there for a while.
Perhaps God chose to intervene, for what else could I do?
Beyond your beauty, things unseen, each faded out of view.
And so this piece of poetry explains the love within,
Perhaps the chance, should you agree, for our love to begin.
I thought to share some roses, dear, but knew that they fade fast,
And yet, this poem makes things clear. I pray our love may last.
And so, if true love is to start, we ought to celebrate,
You are the girl who stole my heart, so I think we should date.
Of course, the choice now falls on you. I trust these words enough.
Declaring tenderness, so true! Declaring now, my love.

And so it was that the lady in question smiled at what she had written. She decided to continue writing her ideas more and more so that others would smile, too. Imagine what could happen then as she published her ideas on the Internet. That must be worth trying for. And that is how she was to continue in life. To contribute now and then as someone who could add something extra. A dedicated sharer of things thought precious and wonderful and as beautiful as her.
